I'll show you segments of three:
Akira blew me away not only because of it's story line of, but by it's amazing soundtrack. Composed by Yamashiro Shoji and performed by his group Geinoh Yamashirogumi, it is the perfect soundtrack for the bleak portrayal of Neo-Tokyo.
The music in the above segment is by Godspeed You Black Emperor!, and is an edit of "East Hastings" from their "f# a# infinity" release. In my opinion it is the perfect companion to the soundtrack by John Murphy.

Let me just say that this was not by choice, and anyone that allows a six year old to see this movie should expect the child to have an overwhelming fear of any body of water (i.e., swimming pools, bath tubs, toilets, etc.).
The following scene literally scared the beejeezus out of me, and is probably the main reason why I wouldn't get in the bath tub for about a month after seeing this movie.

I think this speaks for itself:
Show us something you did, made, saw or bought this past weekend.
I hadn't seen this trailer before seeing the movie. This trailer is basically the whole movie. *watches again* Yep. Pretty much the whole damn movie. It wasn't the worst movie I've ever seen. The only thing that sucked was the two rows of high school kids that I had to threaten with physical violence to shut up. Yeah I know they came to be scared, but after a wile they were just talking to be annoying. Plus, if they were scared at any point in this movie, then the parents of today are breeding some kids with no backbone whatsoever.
